This commit reorganizes the asciidoctor attributes for the reference
documentation. Instead of being contributed partially by the build and
individual documents, attributes are now shared in common files that are
included in top sections.
This commit configures the documentation build to merge the entire
reference documentation into a single PDF file.
To achieve that, this commit also fixes duplicate anchors that were
introduced while factoring out common parts of the documentation for MVC
and WebFlux.
Closes gh-28451
This commit creates a new "framework-docs" module, which is dedicated to
documentation generation (reference and API docs).
This commit refactors the build configuration and moves the asciidoc
files to a separate location, but does not change the name nor the
nature of published artifacts.
Closes gh-29417
A side effect of 71995a9087 caused the
dynamic table of contents in the left-hand side navigation to no longer
be displayed, likely due to the missing "details" DIV.
This commit addresses this issue by applying the custom header only to
index.adoc.
Consequently, the TOC is now displayed again on all pages except the
index page, but the customized header is no longer applied to those
pages.
We may revisit this issue if we decide that we want the custom header
on all pages (and not just the index page).
Closes gh-27177
This commit defines the doc-root and api-spring-framework attributes
once in docs.gradle instead of duplicating them in each *.adoc file.
This commit also introduces a new docs-spring-framework global
attribute.
This commit introduces support for R2DBC ("Reactive Relational Database
Connectivity") with custom ConnectionFactory implementations, a
functional DatabaseClient for SQL execution, transaction management, a
bind marker abstraction database initialization utilities, and
exception translation.
Closes gh-25065
1. Move schemas to local appendix within each top-level section.
2. Link to Javadoc for JSP tags
3. Purge Class Spring usage information
Issue: SPR-16045
Before this commit those were burried in the Appendix where few would
guess to look. Previously that information was at the top, so it makes
sense to point to the Github wiki from the index HTML page.
Also a general update of the index page. Since we have recently revised
the overview, we can simply point to it and keep it shorter.
The section listing now includes more details per section.
This change allows much more usable TOC for the reactive
stack and will make WebFlux documentation easier to
contribute thanks to a clearer split between both stacks.
Issue: SPR-15149
Refer to both Servlet and reactive stacks in web.adoc
Move web-integration.adoc to the very end
Link in web-flux-functional.adoc
Insert "Spring Web MVC" or "Servlet" prefix in chapter titles
